Each mL of AFRIN Severe Congestion Nasal Spray contains Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride 0.05%. Also contains: Benzalkonium Chloride, Benzyl Alcohol, Camphor, Edetate Disodium, Eucalyptol, Menthol, Polysorbate 80, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Phosphate Dibasic, Sodium Phosphate Monobasic, Water.

For the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to a cold, due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies, or associated with sinusitis. Skrinks swollen nasal membranes so you can breathe more freely.

Actions: The sympathomimetic action of AFRIN products constricts the smaller arterioles of the nasal passages, producing a prolonged, gentle and predictable decongesting effect. In just a few seconds a single dose, as directed, provides immediate, temporary relief of nasal congestion that lasts up to 12 hours. AFRIN products last up to 3 or 4 times longer than most ordinary nasal sprays.

: Do not exceed recommended dosage. This product may cause temporary discomfort such as burning, stinging, sneezing, or an increase in nasal discharge. Do not use this product for more than 3 days. Use only as directed. Frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor. The use of this container by more than one person may spread infection. Do not use this product if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland unless directed by a doctor. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. Directions for Afrin Sinus Nasal Spray, Severe Congestion Nasal Spray and Extra Moisturizing Nasal Spray:

Adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor.

To spray, squeeze bottle quickly and firmly. Do not tilt head backward while spraying. Wipe nozzle clean after use.

Directions for Afrin Original Pump Mist and Afrin No Drip:

Shake well before use.

To spray, remove protective cap. Hold bottle with thumb at base and nozzle between first and second fingers. Without tilting head, insert nozzle into nostril. Fully depress rim with a firm, even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe nozzle clean after use. Before using the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and prime metered pump by depressing pump firmly several times.

Directions for Afrin Original Nose Drops: Adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 drops in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours.
