Active Ingredient:   Sodium Bicarbonate U.S.P.

  For alleviation of acid indigestion, also known as heartburn or sour stomach. Not a remedy for other types of stomach complaints such as nausea, stomachache, abdominal cramps, gas pains, or stomach distention caused by overeating and/or overdrinking. In the latter case, one should not ingest solids, liquids or antacid but rather refrain from all physical activity and--if uncomfortable--call a physician.

Actions:   ARM & HAMMER® Pure Baking Soda provides fast-acting, effective neutralization of stomach acids. Each level ¹ / ₂ teaspoon dose will neutralize 26.8 mEq of acid.

:   Except under the advice and supervision of a physician: (1) do not administer to children under five years of age, (2) do not take more than eight level ¹ / ₂ teaspoons per person up to 60 years old or four level ¹ / ₂ teaspoons per person 60 years or older in a 24-hour period, (3) do not use this product if you are on a sodium restricted diet, (4) do not use the maximum dose for more than two weeks.

Stomach Warning :   To avoid serious injury, do not take until powder is completely dissolved. It is very important not to take this product when overly full from food or drink. Consult a physician if severe stomach pain occurs after taking this product.

Drug Interaction Precaution : Antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs. If you are presently taking a prescription drug, do not take this product without checking with your physician or other health professional.

Dosage and Administration:   Level ¹ / ₂ teaspoon in ¹ / ₂ glass (4 fl. oz.) of water every two hours up to maximum dosage or as directed by a physician. Accurately measure level ¹ / ₂ teaspoon. Each level ¹ / ₂ teaspoon contains 26.8 mEq (.616 gm) sodium.
