Composition   Each adult rectal suppository contains sodium bicarbonate and potassium bitartrate in a water soluble polyethylene glycol base.

Actions:   CEO-TWO suppositories are easy to use, effective and predictable. They will not disturb the homeostasis of the bowel. They are gentle and will not irritate the bowel which often would result in a secondary urge to defecate. CEO-TWO will not cause cramping.

CEO-TWO suppositories combine with the natural moisture in the bowel to gently release approximately 175 cc's of carbon dioxide. The slowly released CO ₂ distends the rectal ampulla thus stimulating peristalsis. The emollient base allows for easy insertion and lubricates the bowel wall to facilitate passage of feces. Defecation generally occurs within 10 to 30 minutes after insertion of the suppository.

  CEO-TWO is indicated for the relief of constipation in adolescents through geriatrics. It is used effectively in bowel training and maintenance programs. It will provide predictable results prior to lower endoscopic procedures as well as pre and post operative or pre and post partum bowel emptying. CEO-TWO should be used whenever the last 25 cm of the bowel must be evacuated.

Administration and Dosage:   One or two suppositories can be used as needed. Moisten CEO-TWO with warm water before inserting. Patient should retain as long as possible. Dosage can be repeated in 4-6 hours if necessary.

Contraindications:   As with other enemas or laxatives.

:   Do not use CEO-TWO when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present unless directed by a physician.

How Supplied:   In packages of 10, white opaque suppositories. Keep in cool, dry place.
