CORTIZONE·5® creme (with aloe) and ointment are topical anti-itch preparations.

Active Ingredient: Hydrocortisone 0.5%.

Inactive Ingredients: Creme: Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Aluminum Sulfate, Calcium Acetate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Light Mineral Oil, Maltodextrin, Methylparaben, Potato Dextrin, Propylparaben, Purified Water, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, White Petrolatum, White Wax.

Ointment : Aloe Barbadensis Extract, White Petrolatum.

  CORTIZONE·5® is recommended for the temporary relief of itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation and rashes due to: eczema, insect bites, poison ivy, oak, sumac, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, jewelry, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, external anal and genital itching. Other uses of this product should be only under the advice and supervision of a doctor.

:   For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. If condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, stop use of this product and do not begin use of any other hydrocortisone product unless you have consulted a doctor. Do not use in genital area if you have a vaginal discharge, consult a doctor. Do not use for the treatment of diaper rash or for the treatment of chicken pox, consult a doctor.

For External Anal Itching Users:  Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a doctor. In case of bleeding, consult a doctor promptly. Do not put this product into the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator.

Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

Dosage and Administration:   Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Children under 2 years of age: Do not use, consult a doctor.

Directions For External Anal Itching Users: Adults: When practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before application of this product. Children under 12 years of age: Consult a doctor.

How to Store:   Store at controlled room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).

How Supplied:   CORTIZONE·5® creme: 1 oz. and 2 oz. tubes. CORTIZONE·5® ointment: 1 oz. tube. CORTIZONE for KIDS TM creme: 1 / 2 oz. and 1 oz. tubes.
