Actions:   Cepacol is an effective antiseptic mouthwash/gargle. It kills germs that cause bad breath for a fresher, cleaner mouth.

Cepacol has a low surface tension, approximately 1 / 2 that of water. This property is the basis of the spreading action in the oral cavity as well as its foaming action. Cepacol leaves the mouth feeling fresh and clean and helps provide soothing, temporary relief of dryness and minor mouth irritations.

Uses:   Recommended as a mouthwash and gargle for daily oral care; as an aromatic mouth freshener to provide a clean feeling in the mouth; as a soothing, foaming rinse to freshen the mouth.

Used routinely before dental procedures, helps give patient confidence of not offending with mouth odor. Often employed as a foaming and refreshing rinse before, during, and after instrumentation and dental prophylaxis. Convenient as a mouth-freshening agent after taking dental impressions. Helpful in reducing the unpleasant taste and odor in the mouth following gingivectomy.

Used in hospitals as a mouthwash and gargle for daily oral care. Also used to refresh and soothe the mouth following emesis, inhalation therapy, and intubations, and for swabbing the mouths of patients incapable of personal care.

Warning:   In case of accidental ingestion seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Do not use in children under 6 years of age. Children over 6 should be supervised when using Cepacol. Keep out of reach of children.

Directions:   Rinse vigorously before or after brushing or any time to freshen the mouth. Cepacol leaves the mouth feeling refreshingly clean.

Use full strength every two or three hours as a soothing, foaming gargle, or as directed by a physician or dentist. May also be mixed with warm water.
