LACTAID® is the original lactase dietary supplement that makes milk and dairy foods more digestible. LACTAID® lactase enzyme hydrolyzes lactose into two digestible simple sugars: glucose and galactose. LACTAID® Caplets are taken orally for in vivo hydrolysis of lactose.

ACTIONS

LACTAID® Caplets/Chewable Tablets work to naturally replenish lactase enzyme that aids in dairy food digestion. Lactase enzyme hydrolyzes lactose sugar (a double sugar) into its simple sugar components, glucose and galactose.

USES

Lactaid contains a natural enzyme that helps your body break down lactose, the complex sugar found in dairy foods. If not properly digested, lactose can cause gas, bloating, cramps or diarrhea. *

DIRECTIONS

Original Strength: Swallow or chew 3 caplets with the first bite of dairy food. For best results, you may have to adjust the number of caplets up or down. Extra Strength: Swallow or chew 2 caplets with first bite of dairy food. For best results, you may have to adjust the number of caplets up or down. Ultra Caplets: Swallow 1 caplet with the first bite of dairy food. If you suffer from severe digestive discomfort, you may have to take more than one caplet, but no more than two at a time. Ultra Chewables: Chew and swallow 1 chewable tablet with your first bite of dairy food. If you suffer from severe digestive discomfort, you may have to take more than one tablet but no more than two at a time. Don't be discouraged if at first Lactaid does not work to your satisfaction. Because the degree of enzyme deficiency naturally varies from person to person and from food to food, you may have to adjust the number of caplets/chewable tablets up or down to find your own level of comfort. Since Lactaid Caplets/Chewable Tablets work only on the food as you eat it, use them every time you enjoy dairy foods.

Consult your doctor if you experience any symptoms which are unusual or seem unrelated to the condition for which you took this product. Do not use if carton is open or if printed plastic neckwrap is broken or if single serve packet is open.

HOW SUPPLIED

LACTAID® Original Strength Caplets are available in bottles of 120 count. Store at or below room temperature (below 77°F) but do not refrigerate. Keep away from heat. LACTAID® Extra Strength Caplets are available in bottles of 50 count. Store at or below room temerature (below 77°F) but do not refrigerate. LACTAID® ULTRA Caplets are available in single serve packets in 12, 32 and 60 count packages. Store at or below room temperature (below 77°F) but do not refrigerate. LACTAID® Ultra Chewable Tablets are available in bottles of 12 and 32 counts. Store at or below room temperature (below 77°F), but do not refrigerate. Keep away from heat and moisture.

LACTAID® Caplets and LACTAID® Ultra Chewable Tablets are certified kosher from the Orthodox Union.

Also available: 70% lactose-reduced Lactaid Milk and 100% lactose-reduced Lactaid Milk.
