Inactive Ingredients:    Tablets : Corn Starch, FD&C Blue 1 Lake, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose. Liqui-Gels : D&C Red 33, Gelatin, Glycerin, Mannitol, Pharmaceutical Glaze, Polyethylene Glycol, Povidone, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitan, Sorbitol, Titanium Dioxide, Water. Extentabs : Acacia, Acetylated Monoglycerides, Calcium Sulfate, Carnauba Wax, Citric Acid, Edible Ink, FD&C Blue 1, Gelatin, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Magnesium Stearate, Magnesium Trisilicate, Pharmaceutical Glaze, Polysorbates, Povidone, Silicon Dioxide, Stearyl Alcohol, Sucrose, Titanium Dioxide, White Wax. May also contain Wheat Flour. Elixir : Citric Acid, FD&C Blue 1, FD&C Red 40, Flavors, Glycerin, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbitol, Water.

  For temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies or associated with sinusitis. Temporarily relieves runny nose, sneezing, and itchy, watery eyes due to allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose.

:   Do not take take this product, unless directed by a physician, if you have a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis, or if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, glaucoma, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland. This product may cause drowsiness; alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness effect. Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this product. Do not take this product if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers without first consulting your physician. Use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. May cause excitability, especially in children. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a physician. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever, consult a physician.

KEEP THIS AND ALL DRUGS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE, SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE OR CONTACT A POISON CONTROL CENTER IMMEDIATELY.

Drug Interaction Precaution:   Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson' disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product.

Directions:    Tablets : Adults and children 12 years of age and over: one tablet every 4 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years: one-half tablet every 4 hours. DO NOT EXCEED 6 DOSES IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD. Liqui-Gels : Adults and children 12 years of age and over: one softgel every 4 hours. Children under 12 years: consult a physician. DO NOT EXCEED 6 SOFTGELS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD.

Extentabs:   Do not give Extentabs to children under 12 years, except under the advice and supervision of a physician. Adults and children 12 years of age and over:  one tablet every 12 hours. DO NOT EXCEED 1 TABLET EVERY 12 HOURS OR 2 TABLETS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD. Elixir :  Adults and children 12 years of age and over:  2 teaspoonfuls every 4 hours; children 6 to under 12 years:  1 teaspoonful every 4 hours; DO NOT EXCEED 6 DOSES IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD. Children under 6 years: consult a physician.

How Supplied:    Tablets : Blue, scored compressed tablets engraved AHR and 2254 in consumer packages of 24 (individually packaged).

Liqui-Gels :  Red Liquigel imprinted AHR and 2255I in consumer packages of 12 (individually packaged).

Dimetapp Extentabs® Tablets are the A. H. Robins Company's uniquely constructed extended action tablets.

Elixir   Purple, grape-flavored liquid in bottles of 4 fl oz, 8 fl oz, and 12 fl oz. Not a USP elixir.

Store at Controlled Room Temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F).
