Accidental overdoses of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
Folic acid may mask the symptoms of pernicious anemia in that hematologic remission may occur while neurologic manifestations remain progressive. The calcium content should be considered before prescribing for patients with kidney stones. Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine 84 mg per 8.25 g.
Allergic sensitization has been reported following oral administration of folic acid.
Reconstitute in 4-5 oz. tap water, one level scoop (8.25 g) daily (preferably at bedtime) or in divided doses for ages four through adult. Use two level tsps (4.125g) for ages two and three. Can be chilled with ice to enhance taste. Drink entire mixture immediately after preparation. Use only as directed.
OBEGYN™ is available as a slightly orange-colored powder in bottles containing 495 g (60 doses). NDC 256-0200-01.
Store at room temperature. Keep container tightly closed and protected from heat and moisture at all times. Do not shake this container.
