Orajel® Perioseptic® Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Oral Cleanser and Orajel® Periospetic® Super Cleaning Oral Rinse are oral wound cleansers that use the debriding action of peroxide to cleanse sore mouths and gums due to denture irritation, canker sores, dental procedures, accidental injuries, and gum irritation. They both have a fresh minty taste, and can supplement your regular mouthwash routine.
Active Ingredients: Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Oral Cleanser--Carbamide peroxide 15% (maximum strength) in anhydrous glycerin. Super Cleaning Oral Rinse--Hydrogen peroxide 1.5%.
Inactive Ingredients: Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Oral Cleanser--Citric acid, Edetate disodium, Flavor, Methylparaben, Propylene glycol, Purified water, Sodium chloride, Sodium saccharin. Super Cleaning Oral Rinse--Edetate disodium, Ethyl alcohol (4% v/v), FD&C Blue No. 1, Methyl salicylate, Methylparaben, Phosphoric acid, Poloxamer 338, Purified water, Sodium saccharin, Sorbitol.
For temporary use in cleansing minor wounds or minor gum inflammation resulting from minor dental procedures, dentures, orthodontic appliances, accidental injury, canker sores, or other irritations of the mouth or gums.
Warning: Do not use this product for more than 7 days unless directed by a doctor. If sore mouth symptoms do not improve in 7 days; if irritation, pain, or redness persists or worsens, or if swelling, rash, or fever develops, see your doctor promptly. Cap bottle tightly. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not swallow.
Dosage and Administration: Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply several drops of Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Oral Cleanser directly to the affected area of the mouth with cotton swab or applicator, or swish around Super Cleaning Oral Rinse in the mouth over the affected area. Allow the medication to remain in place at least 1 minute and then spit out. Use up to 4 times daily after meals and at bedtime or as directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years of age should be supervised in the use of this product. Children under 2 years of age: Consult a doctor.
