Pronto Lice Killing Shampoo contains the maximum strength of pyrethrum extract and piperonyl butoxide. It kills lice and their eggs without leaving a lasting pesticide residue. The shampoo includes a conditioner for easier combing.

Active Ingredients:   Piperonyl Butoxide 4%, Pyrethrum Extract 0.33%

Inactive Ingredients:   Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Glycerin, Isopropyl Alcohol, PEG-14M, Poloxamer 183, Purified Water

  For the treatment of head, pubic (crab), and body lice.

Actions:   Pronto contains the maximum strength of pyrethrum extract and piperonyl butoxide. Pyrethrum extract acts directly on the nervous system of insects and piperonyl butoxide enhances the neurotoxic effect of pyrethrum extract by inhibiting the oxidative breakdown of pyrethrum extract by the insect's detoxification system. This results in a longer amount of time which the pyrethrum extract may exert its toxic effect on the insect.

:   Use with caution on persons allergic to ragweed. For external use only. Do not use near the eyes or permit contact with mucous membranes, such as inside the nose, mouth, or vagina, as irritation may occur. Keep out of eyes when rinsing hair. Adults and children: Close eyes tightly and do not open eyes until product is rinsed out. Also, protect children's eyes with washcloth, towel or other suitable material, or by similar method. If product gets into the eyes, immediately flush with water. If skin irritation or infection is present or develops, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Consult a doctor if infestation of eyebrows or eyelashes occurs. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Do not exceed two applications within 24 hours.

Directions:   Shake well. Apply to affected area until all the hair is thoroughly wet with product. Allow product to remain on area for 10 minutes but no longer. Add sufficient warm water to form a lather and shampoo as usual. Rinse thoroughly. A fine-toothed comb or a special lice/nit-removing comb may be used to help remove dead lice or their eggs (nits) from hair. A second treatment must be done in 7 to 10 days to kill any newly hatched lice.
