Each teaspoon (5 mL) of TRIAMINIC® Syrup contains: phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride, USP 6.25 mg and chlorpheniramine maleate USP 1 mg in a palatable, orange-flavored, alcohol-free liquid. Inactive ingredients: benzoic acid, edetate disodium, FD&C Yellow 6, flavors, purified water, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, and sucrose.

Sodium content: 1 mg per teaspoon.

Temporarily relieves cold and allergy symptoms, including runny nose; stuffy nose; itching of the nose or throat; and itchy, watery eyes.

: Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever, consult a doctor. Do not take this product: 1) if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, 2) if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers, or 3) if you are presently taking another product containing phenylpropanolamine, unless directed by a doctor. May cause excitability, especially in children. May cause drowsiness; alcohol, sedatives or tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness effect. Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this product. Use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery.

As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product.

Drug Interaction Precaution: Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor [MAOI] (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson' disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product.

Dosage and Administration: Adults and children 12 years of age and over (96+ lbs)--4 teaspoons every 4 to 6 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years of age (48-95 lbs)--2 teaspoons every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor. Dosing to children under 6 years of age is to be under the direction of a physician. For convenience, a True-Dose® dosage cup is provided with each 4 fl. oz. and 8 fl. oz. bottle.

Professional Labeling: The suggested dosage for pediatric patients is:


4-12 months (12-17 lbs)	1.25 ml ( ¹ / ₄ tsp) every 4 to 6 hours
12-24 months (18-23 lbs)	2.5 ml ( ¹ / ₂ tsp) every 4 to 6 hours
2-6 years (24-47 lbs)	5 ml (1 tsp) every 4 to 6 hours
Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours.
